If you find the Temple of Literature’s 70,000 VND daytime admission fee, it is easy to assume the night visit costs the same. The night tour is a separate ticketed experience. It operates on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. An adult one-show package is listed at 299,000 VND, while the two-show package is 399,000 VND. That difference matters when choosing between a daytime visit and an evening performance.

What changes after dark?
A regular daytime visit lets you move through the architecture, exhibitions and Doctoral Stelae at your own pace. The night tour brings lighting, sound, storytelling and 3D projection mapping into the visit. The venue also describes Khue Van Pavilion, Thien Quang Well, the stelae garden, calligraphy and woodblock printing. Check the package description for the activities and order included on your date.

A new 3D mapping film
On September 18, 2026, the venue announced its third mapping film, Vun đắp hiền tài. The roughly 12-minute film covers the founding and development of the Imperial Academy. The announcement says it joins two earlier films in the night-tour programme. Three available films do not mean a one-show or two-show ticket includes all three. Which visit would suit you?
Choose daytime admission if you want to read the history and explore the buildings slowly at a lower cost. Consider the night tour if you would like one evening performance or have already seen the site by day. For a family visit, confirm the child-height rule and actual showtime before planning dinner.
